As you begin another round of prayer and fasting in the middle of the year, be reminded that this investment has an eternal value in terms of our intimacy with Christ and peoples’ salvation.
In this prayer and fasting, GCAF examines the faith tradition in which we are rooted as Evangelicals under the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMACOP). As Evangelicals, we are part of a movement with God’s Word at its core, emphasizing a personal saving relationship with Christ while having a righteous, consistent life and the constant proclamation of the Gospel—proofs of our salvation.
As part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, we are to preach and teach that Jesus Christ is our savior, sanctifier, healer, and coming king to the nations, especially to those who are helpless, neglected, and marginalized.
Having been called to an impossible calling, we draw strength from our mighty and gracious God of the impossible through prayer and intercession. In return, God promises to hear, empower, and draw us closer to Him through Jesus Christ, our Great Mediator.
We hope the journal—that we will make available to everyone to purchase this Sunday (June 4)—aids you as you spend quality time with the Lord in Word meditation, prayer, and intercession.
