Engr. Reynaldo Simbajon shared the following during our coordination meeting when he presented RESPOND 2021 proposal:
One crucial way to demonstrate our love for God is to act here on earth and help others. Bringing the Lord’s love into our community is a powerful act. Doing it during the pandemic may not always be easy, but as a person of faith, God calls upon us to serve others and bring His light to them amidst the pressing difficulty. Here are a few reminders from the word of God:
Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. — Romans 12:13
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. — Galatians 6:10
…but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. — Proverbs 14:31
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. — Hebrews 13:16
The local church of GCAF wishes to extend aid to everyone in need. However, due to our limited resources, we will prioritize helping the following:
A. Those who experience total loss of income because of the ECQ.
B. Those who experience partial loss of income or earn below minimum wage level.
C. Their income cannot support their family’s basic needs due to its family size, sickness, or loss of loved ones.
