Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
Christ promised that are no condemnation to those put their trust in Him alone for their forgiveness and righteousness. He assured them that no can take them out His hand because all authority has given unto Him. We who rest upon Christ alone, our salvation is sure and permanent. No sin, evil, calamity even death can take us away from the love of Christ.
However, genuine Christianity is a lifelong battle against sin, we wage war against it daily. Like every battle there are days we won over sin enticement, there are also times we failed to its deceitful engagement. The reality of sin is always present in us and around us which we are in this temporal realm. For these reason we need to pick up our battle equipment to fight it. God’s word is a sword that rips our pride, lust, envy, jealousy, self-righteousness and other sins.
If we don’t take God’s word seriously, then we don’t take sin seriously. The key strategy to win our fight against sin is our submission to God’s word daily and indulging ourselves in its truth. We must hide God’s word in our hearts that might not sin against Him.
As a follower of Christ, I must renew my mind daily by reading and submitting to His word in prayer and obedience.
